Time to Engage

So many times recently a client has called or emailed me to apologise for not being in touch sooner, but they have been "so busy" that being able to get in touch has been difficult. This seems to be symptomatic of today's workplaces – that people are too busy doing to have time for people. This has a negative outcome however when it translates into staff not feeling engaged at work because they are tired just trying to keep up with getting things done.

The People Part specialises in taking care of people development and people issues, whether that's helping individuals to cope with pressure by learning to be more resilient, or helping them to communicate better with both customers and other staff; it may be that in managing to deal with their workload they have cut themselves off or become a "no go" zone because their responses have been so abrupt and unfriendly. It may also be that those who are current leaders and managers need an updated skill set to support them in guiding their teams through to achieving business objectives without suffering high staff turnover.
